- February, 2024: In an effort to satisfy consumer demand for packaging that is environmentally conscious without sacrificing product protection, Fourniture Industrie Service (FIS) developed recycled kraft paper bubble wrap. FIs paper alternative is made of two separate layers of recycled kraft paper that are inflated with air bubbles and is intended to replace conventional plastic bubble wrap. It promises to maximize shock absorption and safeguard fragile things during storage and transportation because of its lightweight and flexible construction.
- July, 2023: Papair began production at its facility in Rethem a der Aller for PapairWrap, a bubble wrap apparently manufactured entirely of paper and devoid of synthetics and adhesives.
