  • In September 2024, ALPLAhana, a joint venture (JV) between ALPLA and South Korea’s HANA Innovation, announced the launch of its monomaterial dispenser pump featuring a down-lock function. The new pump is entirely made of polypropylene (PP), including a plastic spring. This stable and durable spring enables the pump to securely store contents in the down-lock position.

  • On 11 October 2024, Virospack revealed a 100% recyclable Eco-Pump, specially crafted for the personal care and beauty sectors. To develop recyclability without the demand for the first disassembly, the pump is created completely from PP (Polypropylene mono-material.
  • In January 2025, TriMas Packaging, the largest operating group of TriMas, announced that it has added to its breadth of commercially available, fully recyclable, all-plastic dispensers with the launch of a new foaming pump under its patented Singolo product line. The new foaming dispenser offers a sustainable alternative to traditional pump designs by incorporating an innovative polymeric spring, replacing a conventional metallic spring, thereby facilitating direct recyclability.
  • In October 2024, Vaseline unveiled a new recyclable pump for its pump-action bottles in North America. Traditionally, pumps in consumer goods contain an internal metal spring encased within the plastic, which makes them hard to recycle because recycling facilities need to separate the materials before processing them.
