  • In September 2024: Castrol India revealed that 50% of its HDPE (high density polyethylene) bottles are now made from recycled plastic, furthering its sustainability initiatives. By the end of the year, the company plans to use about 2,600 tonnes of recycled plastic per year in its packaging, and this project is an integral part of that plan. Additionally, the action is consistent with Castrols worldwide PATH360 goal, which aims to reduce its plastic waste by half by 2030.
  • In June 2024: Berry Global Group announced to distribute a rectangular HDPE container solution that can be customized and contains as much as 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic for the personal care, home, and beauty industries. As the 250ml Domino bottle is composed of high-density polyethylene, it is said to be completely recyclable in situations where suitable collecting systems are in place. Due to its rectangular design, it can be stacked efficiently and takes up less room on the shelf, in storage and during transit.
