  • In March 2024, the Joint Managing Director and CEO of Greenply Manoj Tulsian anticipated 8% to 10% volume growth in its core plywood business and 50-60 % in new medium-density fiberboard (MDF) business in the current fiscal.
  • In October 2024, Premier Forest, a UK-based timber company, acquired Stairway Joinery, an England-based company which specializes in joinery and design, construction, and installation of staircases for residential and commercial buildings, including MDF and Chipboards. The objective behind this acquisition, which is done for an undisclosed amount, is to expand its timber product range with bespoke staircase manufacturing. It is expected that this will strengthen it position in the southwest of England as a specialist provider.

  • On 11 July 2025, Sealy Bed had disclosed that it had launched its 11th eco-friendly bed frame using rubber wood.   • In October 2024, Centuryply decided to invest around ₹2000 crore by 2025 to expand its production capacity in the plywood, laminates, MDF and particle boards segments. New production facilities are going to be inaugurated by the company in Andhra Paradesh, Tamil Nadu and Panjab. MDF and partical board are going to hold a significant amout of share from this investement. This will provide a new boost for the companies production capability.
