- In March 2025, the British investment fund Cheyne Strategic Value Credit (SVC), the current majority shareholder of Irplast S.p.A., an Italian high-performance BOPP film manufacturer, signed an agreement to sell 80% of the issued shares of the company to TOPPAN Holdings Inc.'s subsidiary TOPPAN Speciality Films Private Limited (TSF), based in India. Siegsdorf, Germany-based Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH, the world's top supplier of production lines for making a variety of stretched films, carried out the most recent experiments.
- In May 2025, in Nashik, Maharashtra, JPFL Films, a division of the massive flexible packaging company Jindal Poly Films, plans to greatly increase its production capacity.
