  • In June, 2024, Dow, materials science company revealed the creation and introduction of its cutting-edge REVOLOOPTMM Recycled Plastics Resins family. In terms of Dows dedication to promoting circularity and Transforming the Waste, this launch represents a significant milestone. Dow wants to Transform the Waste and bring three million metric tons of sustainable and circular solutions to market per year by 2030. Dow is stepping up its efforts to promote sustainable and circular packaging in order to accomplish this. The introduction of REVOLOOPTM Plastics Resins is in line with these sustainability objectives and includes a new pledge to help partners and consumers extract even more value from plastic trash. Two new REVOLOOPT Plastics Resin grades have been introduced and authorized for use in packaging that does not come into contact with food. One is made entirely of post-consumer recycled (PR) materials, while the other is formulated grade and comprises up to 85% PR derived through household waste.
  • In October 2024, Berry Global, packaging company, introduced a line of healthcare-use clarified polypropylene (PP) bottles that are said to reduce CO2 emissions by roughly 71% and have better recyclability than conventional colored PET pill bottles. For a range of items, including vitamins, nutraceuticals, nutritional supplements, beauty supplements, and over-the-counter treatments, the business claims that the ClariPPil bottles offer "excellent functionality, product protection, and aesthetics." The new bottle, when paired with Berrys PP closures, has apparently received a RecyClass A certification for its recyclability in nations having the necessary recycling infrastructure in place.
