BW Converting’s Packaging Innovation Center in Green Bay, WI, U.S., serves as a hub for the company’s mission to better support converters through immersive learning, live technology demonstrations, and applied training. BW hosted a three-day seminar for converters and other packaging firms and professionals seeking directions to elevate their packaging capabilities and strengthen their performance.
The center is beneficial for customer engagement and operator development. It also delivers a fully embedded pressroom, including experienced instruction, guided production demos, and live equipment, each engineered to boost printers' confidence, support effective troubleshooting, and further bolster pressroom performance.
Additionally, the center also encompasses a newly equipped PCMC Meridian Elite+ laser anilox cleaner. To improve the center's performance and offerings, bag converting, flexo and digital printing, platemaking, and plate mounting have already been equipped.
The center organizes monthly three-day seminars, as decided. The seminar is led by Fox Valley Flexo Services and instructed by the two smart educators at Fox Valley Technical College. With years of practical experience, they have tailored each class to the needs of the training group, helping it reach the highest level of expertise. The small class size will allow one-on-one troubleshooting, significant interaction, and hands-on learning with packaging-based equipment.
Fox Valley Flexo Services, a member, Mark Keller, said,
“All sessions are well-organized, covering all specific needs of the individuals present in the room. We aim for fundamentals, but we dive deep where it genuinely matters, be it analyzing how substrate and ink choices impact the outcome or troubleshooting press components.”
The director of sales, Print, BW Converting, Rodney Pennings, said,
“The Packaging Innovation Center enables us to illustrate the real-world solutions in an environment that empowers connection, learning, and experimentation. Be it a converter assessing new technologies or a technician optimizing your skills, this is a perfect place to achieve your goals.”
The training gate is open at the center for those who are seeking accurate knowledge (detail) of the flexographic printing process. This seminar is helpful for many packaging enthusiasts who want to achieve milestones in their respective packaging operations. This motivational move by BW and educators' time is highly appreciated, as they inspire many start-ups and existing packaging enthusiasts to learn, explore, innovate, and develop.
