Following on from the Eternity portfolios food-to-go usages, the new variety is formed from expanded polypropylene (EPP) and is aimed at the fresh fruit sector, emphasising enhanced product performance while supporting actual management, transportation and storage with its stackable arrangement. The trays also show consumer-facing recycling messaging, aimed at simplifying disposal and supporting participation in recycling. KP expresses that the Infinity fruit trays provide a lesser carbon footprint and need less water and energy to produce compared to substitute packaging resources.
The company states that the new trays can be mixed with KP FlexiStretch overwrap or KP FlexiFlow films for a whole packaging option, expressed as offering excellent product presentation and protection while supporting the maintenance of product quality from packing to shelf.
In April, KP revealed its KP Evolve Fish Boards, planned mainly for vacuum skin packaging for administered fish and able to limit up to 100% recycled matter. The company expresses the structural features of its KP Zapora advanced retention-chamber geometry, which replaces the requirement for absorbent pads and adhesives.
