A U.S.-based Rohrer Corporation has extended its sustainable material offering within its ezCombo portfolio. The program consolidates numerous thermoformed or printed packaging orders into a single production platform. By sharing a form or press sheet across different brands, customers can shorten time-to-market while reducing tooling expenses, controlling set-up times, and mitigating start-up costs.
The corporation’s ezCombo offers a range of plastic or printed packaging solutions, including thermoformed blisters/trays, blister cards/inserts, and paperboard folding cartons. Now, the portfolio has a new addition: expanded tray options and RPET blisters in 20 mil, 10 mil, 15 mil, and 12 mil thicknesses.
The President of Thermoforming Solutions Group, Ed Steele, said, “Our customers are mapping largely to critical sustainability requirements while holding consistency to demand high-performance cost cost-effective packaging. At our firm, we are well focused on delivering sustainable, practical solutions that contribute best to our customers’ environmental objectives without compromising cost or quality control.”
Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (RPET) is a perfect material for sustainable packaging. With its full recyclability and recycled content, RPET is the ideal choice for eco-friendly packaging. The solution is compliant with emerging regulations such as California’s SB 54. The RPET material is a backbone for brands that are responsive to retailers with stringent packaging sustainability standards, as well as for those in need of suppliers to add post-consumer recycled (PCR) and recyclable materials to their operations.
The brands have scope to grow while remaining within compliance and safety parameters, predominantly by promoting sustainable packaging. With the expansion of the program, Rohrer will reach many brands and their concerned area. Sustainability is a new positive trend and a requirement in the current flow of new businesses, products, and individuals’ growing need to fit into a modern, sustainable world. RPET material solutions ensure quality and compliance, followed by the exCombo packaging program.
Rohrer is not only leading this program but has also advanced its portfolio chain to drive strong business inflows, helping the corporation stay strong in this changing competitive environment.
Steele added, “By extending our RPET alternatives within the ezCombo program, we are offering customers a compliant and scalable solution that identifies retailer expectations and regulatory requirements. This emphasises Rohrer’s dedication to support our customers, retaining competitiveness while fuelling their sustainability initiatives.”
