SIG is a worldwide leader in packing systems and resolutions, and ALCA Corp, which is a top contractor of tropical fruit components, is proud to declare the presentation of the first goods filled on SIGs next-generation sterilized spouted pouch structure, presenting in-line pouch sterilization: SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic, eliminating the requirement for third-party pre-sterilization of spurted pockets. The authorized presentation will take place at Anuga 2025, one of the worlds major food & beverage trade carnivals, held in Cologne, Germany, from October 4 to 8.

This landmark invention marks a significant step forward in sterile pouch technology. ALCA is the first client globally to transport goods to market with SIGs new SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic, the next-generation sterile spurted pouch filling system. SIG has thus combined its long-standing experience in the field of sterile pouch filling with years of proficiency in aseptic carton filling techniques, incorporating in-line sterilization. Major advantages of the SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic comprise: High output (filling speeds of up to 55 pouches per minute), lower TCO (in-line sterilization reduces operating charges), and flexibility (filling volumes oscillating from 30ml to 500ml).

With three factories, ALCA has transported more than 60 years of collective expertise in creating aseptic juices and purees. The corporation operates in over 70 countries and supplies bulk packaging for distribution to top producers of baby food, beverages, and healthy snacks globally.

Building on this inheritance, ALCA is expanding its portfolio with the introduction of an advanced aseptic pouch featuring SIGs CloverCap closure. The first goods in this arrangement will focus on the two fruit components, in which the corporation holds global leadership: bananas and MD2 pineapples. With this new ability, ALCA will also offer co-packing facilities, enhancing collaboration opportunities with brands worldwide.

ALCA is presenting the first-ever aseptic pouch to the market as proof of concept, aiming to gather market response. This invention of new technology will lead to the expansion of new goods, opening up co-stuffing opportunities for its customers.
