AMERIPEN, the leading authority on packaging regulations in the U.S., launched its new Power of PackagingTM website. The platform is an educational resource designed to help stakeholders better understand the critical role packaging plays across industries and communities throughout the U.S.
The cooperating site highlights the stories, science, and people behind the packaging arrangements that guard products, improve brand recognition, and help a strong domestic workforce. By representing real-world examples and visions from across the packaging value chain, the website focuses on expanding public consideration of the value of packaging.
“Packing is part of every consumer’s day, from protecting products to supporting people understand what they buy, and helping the workforce that makes it all possible,” expressed Lynn Dyer, President of AMERIPEN. “We generated the Power of PackagingTM website to represent the people, ideas, and inventions behind packaging and to remind audiences of its societal advantages as packaging policy is being considered.”
The Power of PackagingTM website initially comprises
Short videos on the history of packaging and the role that packaging plays in guarding products. Flash cards explaining the science behind packing. Infographics on the power of packaging to determine customer behavior and help meet consumers’ requirements. An interactive “guess the brand” activity that displays how memorable and purposeful a good plan can be, even without brand names. Community meeting highlights presenting the packaging industry, giving back to society. A map portraying the jobs helped by the packaging value chain, “We wanted to generate a resource that explains packaging and helps people see the purpose behind it,” expressed Dyer. “The website gives viewers a straightforward way to discover how packaging fits into daily life and the processes we all rely on.”
The Power of PackagingTM website is a portion of AMERIPEN’s broader pledge to promote public policy, help packaging education, and show the complete packaging value chain in deliberations that influence both the industry and customers.
AMERIPEN President Lynn Dyer expressed that the resource is planned to "clarify packaging" and offer a frank way for the public and officials to discover its role in daily life and important systems.
