Coveris has introduced its MonoFlex Thermoform film packing for tortilla wraps, which is a mono-material resolution planned to substitute non-recyclable, diverse resource thermoforming substrates while upholding a long shelf life. Coveris articulates that the project is the consequence of close assistance with a tortilla wrap producer, looking for a more sustainable substitute to the formerly utilized PA/PE construction. Accessible as completely printed or unprinted top and base materials, the packaging helps in conformist and HD flexographic or rotogravure print with choices for matt, gloss, and tangible lacquer, resulting in improved customer appeal and an attractive on-shelf performance.

Preceding month Coveris Rypin cooperated with Polish company Brzesc to pack its ‘puffs’ snacks in a decomposable film, expressed to expand shelf appeal and help in the reduction of packing waste. It is also adjusted for eight-colour flexographic printing with elective matt or gloss look, drawing consideration to the brand uniqueness.
