Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has been honored with nine WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026 for its innovative packaging solutions. Presented annually by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), the awards celebrate excellence in packaging design, technology, and sustainability on a global scale.
Mondi’s award-winning goods show the Group’s continued emphasis on developing packaging options that replace less sustainable resources, support recyclability, and offer strong performance for consumers. The recognized inventions address varied end-use requirements, from food and eCommerce to transport and electronics, while offering a more circular economy.

Mondi is also pleased to see its consumer, Werner & Mertz, recognized with a WorldStar Award in the Household category for the Frosch fabric softener stand-up pouch. Progressive through close, long-term partnership, Mondi and Werner & Mertz united their packaging, resource, and application expertise to co-develop the 100% recyclable pouch, which now includes post-consumer recycled plastic from household collection, emphasizing their shared commitment to circular, sustainable packaging.
The WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026 Ceremony will occur in Düsseldorf, Germany, bringing together packaging leaders from around the globe to celebrate invention and excellence.
