YPS Introduces Paper Pallet Wrapping Solution

YPS Launches New Paper Pallet Wrapping Solution for Sustainable Packaging

Yorkshire Packaging Systems (YPS) has revealed its newest contribution in sustainable packaging technology with an overview of paper pallet packaging. The new semi-automatic turntable wrapping, intended for forklift loading, is fortified with a unified glueing dispenser, rearrangement the wrapping procedure by offering all equipment in one unit. The machine structures a tilting paper posture that works in an upward motion, decreasing paper utilization and minimising folds. YPS MD Glyn Johnson expressed: “We can now provide a pallet wrapping apparatus that uses paper, adding to those we provide utilizing predictable stretch wrap, so warehouse operatives can select the method they take in their utilization of resources.

“The well-suited paper is uncoated and has a huge recycling cost as a secondary resource. The method utilizes only a small amount of glue and no other secondary packing, such as edge shields, and the process of recycling is very simple.”

A current EUMOS test showed that at a force of 0.5g exposed that pallets enfolded in the new paper system experienced 30% less deformation associated with those wrapped in traditional plastic stretch wrap. The paper wrap provides a shield against sun injury for the goods it encloses.

The new wrapping resolution is mainly advantageous for erratically shaped goods and is well-suited for a variation of items, including sacks, bottles, and boxes.

“By discovering the sustainable substitutes in both machinery and resources, our team supports our consumers to take meaningful steps towards greener supply chains,” Glyn added.
