Amrutanjan Healthcare has revived a beloved slice of Indian household nostalgia by reintroducing its iconic Yellow Balm in the traditional glass bottle design. A trusted staple in homes for over 130 years, the Yellow Balm has long symbolized comfort, warmth, and cherished memories handed down through families worldwide for many generations.
The brand’s decision to reuse the glass bottle not only taps into a deep emotional attachment but also aligns with its sustainability goals by reducing plastic use. Adding further value for customers, the relaunched product now includes 25% more balm, providing more of the reliable luxury that millions rely on.
Along with the relaunch, Amrutanjan has launched a new movement, “Har Dard Mitaye,” featuring two television advertisements that highlight everyday situations where pain interrupts work, travel, or routine activities. In each example, Amrutanjan Balm steps in as a fast, organic solution that helps people get back to their day without disturbance.
Reflecting on the relaunch, S. Sambhu Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director, Amrutanjan Healthcare Limited, expressed, “For over a century, families across India have relied on Amrutanjan Balm in their everyday instances of pain relief. First introduced in 1893, Amrutanjan Pain Balm became the company’s leading remedy, earning a prominent place in households across all groups. This relaunch is about reviving that bond by providing our customers with more of what they cherish: operational relief, larger quantities, and packaging that is better for the environment. By carrying the Yellow Balm back in its glass bottle, we are not only carrying back a piece of history but also consolidating our promise of maintenance that has remained unmoved for more than 130 years.”
Mani Bhagavatheeswaran, Chief Marketing Officer, Amrutanjan Healthcare Limited, added,
“The Yellow Balm is not just a medication; it is a feeling of understanding and trust. Every family has a story, and with this relaunch, we wish to create new ones. Switching to glass bottles is a responsible step. Still, it is also an emotional one, it attaches us back to the roots of Amrutanjan while enduring to keep the brand related for generations to come.”
With this restored contribution, Amrutanjan Healthcare celebrates its continuing legacy, confirming that the reliable comfort of its Yellow Balm will remain a staple in Indian homes for generations to come.
