Baumer has restructured its packaging technology range with its new CorrBox Solution representations, designed for accuracy and regulation in high-volume production of corrugated packaging. The CorrBox solution variety is a portfolio of technologies for glue applications and quality regulators on flexo folder gluers (FFG). The three models, CorrBox Go, Evo, and Pro, cater to the diverse requirements of various market sectors in the corrugated business. CorrBox Solution Go is planning to replace the corporation’s earlier FFG Go structure with a simple glue bid and swaps. The new CorrBox Solution Evo and Pro come with a comprehensive quality regulator and support multiple outlines for extreme flexibility.
The Evo was industrialized for high-volume industries, in which superior quality and highest charge efficacy are crucial to achieving high manufacturing volumes. In the meantime, the Pro fulfills stringent demands for suppleness and quality in corrugated packaging, while also contributing additional features, such as Slot and Bundle24, to meet diverse manufacturing requirements. All three arrangements are built around similar components from Baumer for glue usage, such as the PX 1000 multi-application head, the KPE 6 and KPE 9 adhesive pumps, and the average, instinctive HMI solution planned for a simple and dependable procedure regulator.
The PX 1000 multi-request head exhibits an electromagnetic influence to achieve high finishing force and ‘excellent’ start-up behavior, Baumer stated. Moreover, the CS 1000 sensor, specifically designed for the CorrBox Solution Evo, also significantly enhances efficiency and charge efficacy. It precisely displays every single strip of glue used and is suitable for a variety of construction environments, operating in the visible optical range.
According to Baumer, the sensor yields the finest results when there is a distinct contrast between the packaging material and the applied glue. For instance, even at supreme machine speeds, it consistently senses separate strips of glue on brown corrugated paper, as well as blue-coloured glue on white corrugated paper. These two resources account for approximately 80% of the average folding box manufacturing process.
The high-end PGD 1000 sensor, compatible with the CorrBox Solution Pro, is available as an alternative for printed resources. The PGD 1000 achieves an exact spectral variety, entirely masking out the background and displaying not only the presence of adhesive, but also the value of the application, regardless of whether the exterior is printed.
