Mondi Helps Özler Tarım Cut Food Waste in Long-Distance Shipments

Mondi has collaborated with Türkiye’s Özler Tarım, an exporter of fresh vegetables and fruits, to develop a recyclable corrugated packaging solution jointly. The resolution features a double-wall, corrugated fibre shape and a flat, stackable framework, which helps rationalize industrial, transportation, and warehousing operations. The goal is to shield produce over prolonged delivery distances. Built to withstand moisture, loading lots, and the rigours of prolonged ocean expeditions, the packing declarations that fresh goods are delivered without injury. Ozler Tarım research and supply chain supervisor Mehtap IncesOz expressed: “Mondi’s recyclable corrugated resolution brings into line effortlessly with our ecologically aware transfer model.”

The implementation of the resolution has led to a 15% increase in output capacity at Özler Tarım’s Adana site, while addressing challenges such as carton dissatisfaction and damage claims. The greater flexibility cuts down on food decomposition.
