In July 2026, Romaco India, the Sales & Service Centre of the Romaco Group, hosted a three-day open house at its Experience Centre in Hyderabad. The event was attended by experts in the industry, pharmaceutical industry professionals for technical discussions and equipment demonstrations. The event featured the Kilian S 710 Prime tablet press and more than 30 demonstrations of the Noack NBL 400 blister line, covering blister packaging and cartoning capabilities.
The Hyderabad Centre is known for its spare parts warehouse, an equipment showroom, and a process technology laboratory covering granulation, tableting, and coating of solid pharmaceutical products. It is also well-known as a point of contact for Indian pharmaceutical companies seeking technologies and technical expertise.
Blister packaging is a pre-formed plastic or aluminum pocket used to securely package and protect small items. It consists of a molded cavity helpful to hold the product carefully and is sealed with a backing material such as a paperboard or foil. It also provides a tamper-evident, airtight, and highly visible enclosure. The pocket inside the packaging helps to keep the product safe from environmental hazards such as moisture, contamination, and UV light. Hence, one can easily identify any form of tampering done with the packaging. The clear plastics of the packaging allow consumers to directly have a look at the product, along with providing ample space for branding on the backing card. The form of packaging is usually used in various industries, such as the pharmaceutical industry, the packaging of different types of consumer goods, and also for the packaging of different types of food items.
The Indian pharmaceutical industry is primarily working to establish and expand its international competitiveness. The three-day open house featured services ranging from customer training on various technologies to support for the development of new products and the ramp-up of new, locally manufactured format parts. Local format part production for blister packaging machines and cartoners was launched last autumn. The company reported that 86 senior leaders and operational specialists from 24 pharmaceutical companies took part, representing functions including operations, production, engineering, project management, quality assurance, supply chain, procurement, and commercial management.
As per the company, the suggestions given by decision-makers and technical professionals gave the whole discussion a detailed depth, where many visitors arrived with specific production, packaging, and project requirements. It helped the Romaco team to explain a few details and also address a few challenges with their solutions to the visitors.
Romaco India presented the Kilian S 710 Prime tablet press, which the company said has up to 85 press stations and a maximum output of 1,020,000 tablets per hour. Live demonstrations were also conducted on the Noack NBL 400 blister packaging line, with more than 30 demonstrations over the three days showing the line’s operation in practice. Customers observed machine operation, product flow, format changeover, line integration, and performance features.
The company said the NBL 400 blister line has an output of up to 400 blisters and 200 cartons per minute and operates in lengthwise mode across up to five tracks, intended for medium batch sizes. The line consists of a blister machine with rotary sealing and a continuous motion cartoner, and can pack tablets and capsules of various specifications using dedicated feeding or a brush-box feeder. According to the company, the machine is easy to operate and does not require specialized technical knowledge for product or format changes.
“The Romaco India open house was very successful with good customer participation and positive feedback.
