Archroma Expands Innovation with Three New Global Centers of Innovation

The new COI highlights Archroma Packaging Technologies promise to offer innovative technologies, closer partnerships with consumers, and industry-leading sustainable innovations globally. The three Global Centers of Innovation, located in Mumbai, India; Prat, Spain; and Charlotte, USA, are intentionally situated within the fastest-growing areas of each market, providing greater visibility into real-time market trends and consumer needs.

The first worldwide COI to open was in Mumbai, India, in September 2025. The Center has been constructed with state-of-the-art apparatus to cater to the abundant product verticals examined by Archroma Packaging Technologies within the flexible packaging and wood industry segments. The foundational of the COI in India is a significant milestone that further helps Archroma Packaging Technologies’ promise to construct a sustainable future.

Dinakar Gnanamgari, VP of Innovation & Portfolio Expansion at Archroma Packaging Technologies, explanations: “The COI in Mumbai will emphasize offering sustainable and value-added solutions to help important end market sections in the Asia Pacific region and will work in close partnership with our regional application centers.”

The second Center of Innovation in Prat, Spain, opened in September 2025, further improving Archroma Packaging Technologies worldwide footprint within Europe. This Centers emphasis will be on tape & label, and is fortified with progressive laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment to better support consumers in advancing performance, circularity, and sustainability of packaging solutions, and to foster the next generation of tape & label innovations.

The third COI will open later this year in Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S., with an emphasize on fiber & board packaging and biomaterials. Gnanamgari adds: “The three Centers of Innovation in India, Spain, and the USA will contributory in scaling up our worldwide footprint with a view to generating invention and next-generation resolutions.
