Henkel has announced the launch of its Packaging RecycLab in Shanghai, China, planned to assess how glue solutions can ‘influence invention in packaging recycling and hasten the changeover to a circular economy’. Over localized trying and process optimization, the RecycLab is anticipated to advance Henkel’s competencies in helping the Chinese and broader Asia-Pacific marketplaces. An allocation led by LI Hua, Chairperson of the China Packaging Federation (CPF), went to the lab and started the 2025 ‘Green Packaging Recycling China Tour’ with Henkel.

Henkle recently relaunched the portfolio for its Fa brand, featuring shower gels made with 100% recycled plastic, intended for recycling, and deodorants with 50% recycled aluminum content. The body care brand states that all rinse formulas contain over 93% naturally derived ingredients and deliver long-lasting cleanliness.
In additional business news, this summer, Palantir Technologies announced a multi-year collaboration with Fedrigoni to accelerate Fedrigoni’s stock optimization and demand prediction using its AI solutions. Fedrigoni aims to enhance its receptiveness to market nuances and improve its ability to predict and fulfill consumer demands.

He expressed that the launch of the Henkel Packaging RecycLab in China is a major planned step, underlining the company’s long-term promise. He additionally explained that Henkel is taking tangible steps to drive packaging change by supporting consumers in improving resource selection and packaging assemblies through organized technical support. This inventiveness aims to reduce ecological footprints and achieve a win-win between economic and environmental benefits, meeting the promise of invention in China.
