Labelxpo Global Series is the worlds top platform for the printing of labels and packages for more than 45 years, and will rebrand to Loupe, opening at the Americas demonstrations in 2026. Event managers made the declaration on the first day of Labelexpo Europe 2025, and say the rebrand brings into line the event with the progression already happening in the label and packaging printing business. Under a new name, Loupe will still preserve its main emphasis on the label industry but reflects an extensive hold of flexible packaging and folding carton.
The label-adapting industry is observing rapid consolidation and change, creating one-stop package printing processes that include the full variety of packaging formats. Label converters have already expanded into flexible packaging and are recognizing new opportunities in folding cartons. Loupe worldwide events will reflect that modification.
Over the decades, Labelexpo has changed from a narrow web, pressure-sensitive-attentive show to take in new label arrangements, then flexible packaging and now folding cartons, all influenced by the entrepreneurship, agility and facility mentality of label converters, says Andy Thomas-Emans, planned director of Labelexpo Global Series. Just as todays label converters are expanding and bringing multiple technologies under one roof, Loupe mirrors that same spirit, uniting the full spectrum of set printing in one place to inspire invention, efficacy, and development for the complete industry.
The two enduring events for 2025, Labelexpo Europe and Labelexpo Asia, will endure under the current name. Labelexpo Americas will be Loupe Americas when it returns to the Donald E Stephens Center in Rosemont from 15-17 September 2026. All shows in the portfolio will become Loupe events from then on. Labels & Labeling magazine is owned by the same parent firm as Labelexpo, and will not be rebranding together with the events.
Labelexpo Europe 2025 opens in Barcelona this week and will welcome over 650 exhibitors covering an extensive spectrum of the labels and package printing market. Data from Labelexpo Europe 2023 showed 40 % of event visitors registered an interest in flexible packing and 25% in folding cartons. Over 25% of exhibitors at Labelexpo Europe 2025 have portfolios that reach across labels, flexible packaging, and folding carton segments.
