One Cask at a Time, a leading bottler, has launched its first best collection of six single cask whiskies, each presenting near-field communication (NFC) technology. This technology gives a ‘seamless and secure digital experience’ to buyers. The company’s launch day is to honor and cherish the enduring values and traditions of whisky-making, reflecting a changing era in the liquid-based sector. The collection includes three series, each tailored and designed to attract different tastes and purchasers/audiences.
The three series include: a pendulum, designed to accelerate the experience with contemporary packaging and spectacular age statements; and another, a chronograph for whiskey lovers who seek character-based flavor discoveries. Lastly, the grandfather, a luxurious, expensive collection mainly for seasoned connoisseurs, is available in hand-crafted oak cases.
With this series, one cask at a time, it is focusing on upgrading its branding skills with the popular phrase ‘celebration of time’, promising consumers to take them on a ‘journey of discovery’ with these accessible whiskies. With the kindest dreams and innovation, this new series will become rare and finest collector’s items.
The chronograph series presents two single-cask whiskies: Glentauchers 2009, bottled at 56.9% ABV, available for £115 (US$153), and Ben Nevis 2023, resting at 56.1% ABV, priced at £89 (US$118). The Pendulum series presents one whiskey, the Auchentoshan 1998, of which 142 bottles are available on the market. It is available at 59.5% ABV, priced at £275 (US$366). The grandfather series features 74 bottles of Ledaig 1993 worth £599 (US$797) and packed at 42.3% ABV.
Every bottle will have a contactless NFC tag visible on the bottle neck. On scanning with a smartphone, the tag installs the One Cask at a Time app, which precisely describes the liquid's origins, covering the start date of the filling, the journey into the bottle, and more, in a chain to memorize and cherish.
