In May 2026, MM Board & Paper introduced folding boxboard grade, Alaska Bright New. The new grade is manufactured in Finland’s MM Kotkamills and is lightweight in nature. The new grade offers excellent smoothness and has a premium appearance.

The new grade is next-generation FBB and has reduced weight. The new grade has the same converting performance, print quality, and surface finish as its previous grade. The printable surface of Alaska Bright New is compatible with inkjet and laser systems. The manufacturing of the new grade includes a pulp machine, a board machine, and a rebuilt paper machine.

The new grade features enhanced material efficiency and has the same consistent appearance as its predecessors. The new grade minimizes the overall pack weight and offers high whiteness. It offers excellent runnability on high-speed production and automated packaging. It is ideal for processes like embossing, folding, foil stamping, gluing, and die-cutting.
