Mondi, a global supervisor in sustainable packaging, has combined with Saga Nutrition, which is a French pet food producer, to initiate recyclable wrapping for Saga’s dry pet food variety. This groundbreaking plan to replace non-recyclable multiple-resource plastic with mono-material, confirming pet food integrity while helping a circular economy.
The partnership emphasizes Mondi and Saga Nutrition’s commitment to sustainability and the change to a circular economy. The new packaging was launched in October 2024. As part of Mondi’s re/cycle range, re/cycle FlexiBag is planned to fulfil the company’s internal Path to Circularity Scorecard measures as well as CEFLEX recycling strategies. It approaches enhanced-barrier assets, defending products from odour, moisture, and fat in proportions of 3 kg and up. Saga Nutrition’s acceptance of mono-resource packaging also represents its enthusiasm to reduce waste and enhance visual appearance.

Saga Nutrition is a French pet food production company that will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025.
