PaperTech is a well-established manufacturer specializing in eco-friendly paperboard food packaging designed to withstand oven-ready applications. Its range of durable containers and sustainable trays supports the growing shift toward plastic-free food packaging. Products manufactured across PaperTech’s operations are composed of approximately 90% or more renewable content, underscoring the company’s strong sustainability focus. Looking ahead, PaperTech plans to expand its product pipeline to strengthen its position and leadership within the food-related sustainable packaging market.
Bake-Best Trays is a leading and promising manufacturer, highly promoting its ovenable pressed paperboard food trays. Since 2007, the company’s products served responsive and responsible protection to prepared foods and contributed immensely to the various foodservice applications.
PaperTech took Bake-Best Trays into its pipeline after the completion of the acquisition deal. The transaction details are not yet revealed. The integration of Bake-Best will bolster Papertech’s sustainable packaging mission. With this, the company will be able to add smart cooking performance technologies and supportive products. During the meeting for this deal, Steven M. Berne portrayed Bake-Best, and all the transaction was looked after by Paul Hastings from PaperTech’s end.
Partnerships and acquisitions trends are great business ideas, but they come with risk and responsibility. Here, PaperTech acquired Bake-Best to accelerate its business and decorate, alongside expanding its pipeline. The consumer definitely gets driven by the attractive packaging, but the cost matters. If Bake-Best stands by its quality, then it’s worth considering for the food service giants and so on. This decision holds a valuable motive to serve a range of options to polypropylene and CEPT.
There are clients from various sectors or renowned food businesses, including start-ups, who might be seeking such presentable packaging. PaperTech is about to expand its customer engagement with this deal. Customers' demands fluctuate according to their interests or budget, but every customer's demand has to be fulfilled. This deal is a quality deal that will benefit PaperTech to take the lead in reaching a larger and more diversified audience looking for such quality packaging as the company does.
CEO of PaperTech, Chris Collis, said, “This purchase speaks volumes and the need for extension of our flexible and intensified pressed paperboard tray platform. Bake-Best’s susceptor permitted solutions, and its robust ovenable tray designs reflect our current strength and ability to contribute to those customers looking for cooking presentation, consistency, and performance. We are thrilled to build a new foundation on Bake-Best’s developed customer engagements and continue serve additional value via the extensive product delivery.”
