ProAmpac Elevates Sustainable Packaging with High-Performance Fiber Innovation

ProAmpac is a worldwide leader in flexible packaging and resource science. The company declared the development of its ProActive Recyclable® RP-2000 High Barrier Series. This curbside biodegradable, fiber-based packaging platform is planned to support brands' shifting from outdated non-recyclable excellent-barrier multilayer constructions, such as foil/paper, paper, or metalized polyethylene terephthalate (METPET), and some film laminations.

The RP-2000 platform offers strong resistance to moisture and oxygen, making it well-suited for delicate dry food products like cereal, oatmeal, granola, snacks, spices, nuts, and dried fruits. “Supporting the increasing Fiberization of Packaging® drive, and as acceptance of fiber-based structures hastens, ProAmpac must strive to expand the practical performance cover of paper-based resources. These technologies allow brands to switch over to curbside recyclable packaging while preserving required barrier properties, package truthfulness, and filling-line efficacy,” expressed Hesam Tabatabaei, topmost technology officer at ProAmpac.

Planned for flexibility across common package styles, the RP-2000 High Barrier Series is accessible in different pouch arrangements and rollstock, preserving robust performance through the package's life. Its tough construction delivers superior flex-crack resistance and preserves its barrier properties through handling and folding. It also delivers high-quality printing competencies, allowing brands to generate distinctive projects on natural kraft, bleached, or clay-coated paper.

RP-2000 High Barrier platform was generated to offer brands a drop-in curbside recyclable option with minimum alteration on filling lines and has successfully trailed on a super high-speed HFFS line running up to 900 packets per minute,” expresses Adam Edinger, worldwide invention engineer for ProAmpac. “It offers dependable presentation in a fiber-based format that brings into line with today’s prospects.
