SALT! Supplements, launched by athletes Alfonso Iovine and Kim Connor Streich, develop hydration products designed to meet the demands of sportspeople looking for both effective and attractive solutions. For its newest electrolyte stick sachets, the brand aimed for packaging that provides a premium experience from the very first opening.
Especially for packaging, the print production agency Cousin hired Burgopak, a packaging design company, to establish a solution that will maintain the required and effective balance between practicality, shipping efficiency, and visual impact.
Burgopak’s brilliant team selected its exclusive Coupe pack, which is engineered to cut unnecessary space. Following this, it gives 15 supplement sticks at an angle in such a way that it takes a slight fall on opening the box for visual display. The design and materials were refined for practical power and efficient material use. The dimensions of the pack were refined to satisfy Royal Mail’s letter requirements that help to cut environmental impact and shipping costs.
Alexander Parker, Burgopak’s head of wellness, said, “We lead an international supply chain that gives us the authority to have reach to a broad range of materials involving specialist stocks and conventional paperboard. To ensure efficiency, we have selected a list of preferred materials in every region that match our standards for sustainability, value, and performance. In Europe, one of these main materials is MetsaBoard Pro FBB Bright.”
A major element of this packaging is the MetsaBoard Pro FBB Bright. It’s an excellent high-quality paperboard created by MetsaBoard. This material was selected to increase its value and performance that contributes to the project’s goal for responsible sourcing and product safety.
Erja Hyrsky, MetsaBoard’s SVP, commercial operations, said, “We are thankful for the MetsaBoard Pro FBB Bright’s involvement in this project, which is helping designers and brands in serving the best-in-class packaging solutions while delivering impeccable quality.”
Alfonso Iovine, SALT! Supplements co-founder said, “It was important to make the packaging functional and appealing for the sportspeople. The response we’re getting is positive. We’re thrilled to help many athletes to excel in their field and achieve peak performance.” Lee Godwin, Cousins’ development director, also appreciated Burgopak’s contribution in this thoughtful project and called them an ideal partner for the same.
