Packaging Leaders Siegwerk and Revere Group Renew Long-Term Partnership

Siegwerk has strengthened and expanded its partnership with The Revere Group, a leading food packaging manufacturer headquartered in Seattle, Washington, US. This enhanced collaboration is designed to streamline and optimize production processes while supporting the companies’ shared commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices. As part of the partnership, The Revere Group has adopted Siegwerk’s low-migration SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC inks, which are specifically formulated for safe use in food packaging applications, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards and promoting safer, high-quality packaging solutions.

According to Siegwerk, the transition to SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC inks has allowed The Revere Group to achieve higher press speeds, reduced downtime, and more consistent results in Expanded Color Gamut (ECG) printing, contributing to less waste during production.

Mark Revere, co-president of The Revere Group, noted: “The switch to Siegwerk’s low-migration inks has been a game-changer for us. They run faster and cleaner on our presses, improve uptime, and reduce waste, a crucial factor in achieving our sustainability goals.”

The SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC inks are also versatile, being compatible with both UV and LED curing methods, providing flexibility across different production setups. With their expertise in ECG printing, The Revere Group can now reproduce a wide range of Pantone colours using seven inks instead of four, significantly reducing the need for frequent equipment cleaning between print runs and improving overall efficiency.

Siegwerk played a key role in calibrating The Revere Group’s new seven-colour ink set, allowing press operators to focus on production efficiency rather than technical troubleshooting. The strengthened partnership has also enabled The Revere Group to explore innovative sustainable packaging solutions, supported by Siegwerk’s technical expertise.

With guidance from Siegwerk, The Revere Group has been able to utilize primers compatible with compostable materials and recyclable mono-material packaging structures, further advancing their sustainability initiatives. The collaboration between the two companies has a long history, dating back to 1989, when The Revere Group first began using Siegwerk’s water-based inks.

Mike Hoft, CUSA West regional sales manager at Siegwerk, commented: “Our work with The Revere Group demonstrates how a strong partnership, technical expertise, and consistent ink performance can drive both efficiency and sustainability in packaging. Customers like The Revere Group challenge us to think differently, and that’s what makes the collaboration so valuable.”
