The German company has selected scanner-based offline inspection technology to detect deviations in graphics, text, color, and codes. The company already has over 1500 employees across nine different locations. The digital approach of the company aims to prevent the economic damage caused by defective products.

Andreas Hug, the team lead for print service at Faller Packaging, mentioned that the company aims to monitor the production as reliably as possible, which is the reason behind the adoption of the technology.

The company mentioned the flexibility, future proofing, and flexibility during the selection of EyeC proofiler 1200 DT. The technology has impressed in familiarization, flexible adaptation, and user friendliness.

Hug mentioned,

“An important criterion was that the inspection system should be simple and structured to minimise any sources of error during operation. The pharmaceutical packaging industry demands the highest standards for accuracy, legibility, and safety, where even minor errors can lead to costly rework and regulatory problems.”

The new inspection technology combines intelligent software and high-resolution flatbed scanners that help in enabling quality control.

The team lead also said that the inspection system ensures that qualified goods are only sent further for the next procedures. This is also allowing them to streamline rejects and rework to improve consumer satisfaction by optimising the production process.

The company has deployed these systems across multiple sites that include Debesee, Schofheim, Worms, and Binzen for print and sample inspection. 'EyeC is a reliable partner for us,' said Hug. 'They understand exactly what we need and work with us on approaches for the future.
