The U.S.-based packaging supplier of the beer, beverage, wine, and spirits industries inked the deal with Revino to distribute reusable glass wine bottles to producers throughout the US region. Under this deal, Saxco will deliver as a confirmed professional distribution partner for Revino’s bulk of reusable bottles.
The intention and thoughtful idea behind this move might be to prevent plastic bottles and promote reusable bottles that can be replaced with plastic. This is a contribution to the environment. Revino’s reuse engagement recently includes over 100 winery partners with around a million tons of bottles waiting in the queue actively.
These glass bottles will mitigate the environmental footprint of wine, which eventually comes massively from its packaging during the carbon-intensive part of the process. Vice president at Saxco wine division, Stephanie Ramczyk, said, “The collaboration between Revino and Saxco has strengthened our dedication to serve a sustainable and sophisticated packaging alternative to our wine customers. We’re excited to offer these reusable wine bottles that correlate with their sustainability goals and brand objectives.”
Revino’s bottle has the potential to mitigate emissions by around 85% in comparison to the conventional single-use wine bottles. The bottles are made in the US and can be sanitized, returned, and washed for further purposes of use. They can achieve carbon neutrality through three reuse cycles. The bottles are engineered to hold and confirm around 50 refills. This model can support the wineries to change materials from the landfill and mitigate packaging costs.
They rank and build confidence in a system as a tool for producers seeking to adhere to the evolving and rapid regulatory frameworks, like Extended Producer Responsibility rules. Via this partnership, Saxco will give the right to wineries to have access to Revino’s reuse infrastructure. It will also offer supply continuity, vast packaging requirements, and logistics planning.
The co-founder of Revino, Adam Rack, said, “Collaborating with Saxco enables us to extend the access of the circular packaging solutions to US producers of every scale. Both companies are modernizing the next generation of wine packaging with systems that put sustainability in the first place without sacrificing the artisanal, unique quality.” Revino is ruling as the giant wine bottle reuse network, as usual, in the region, holding string value for circular glass packaging.
