  • In September 2025, Allied Blenders and Distillers has inaugurated a ₹115 crore PET bottle manufacturing facility in Rangapur, near Hyderabad, with a capacity of 600 million bottles per year.   • In May 2024, ALPLA India Pvt. Ltd., packaging company, revealed the introduction of the recyclable wine bottle made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). The bottle is about an eighth of the weight of a glass bottle, can save up to 30% on price, and can lower carbon emissions by up to 50%. PET (recycled PET) can be used to make it completely. Wegenstein, the development partner and pilot customer in Austria, is already using the packaging solution, which is now offered in 0.75-liter and 1-liter bottle sizes.
