WorldStar Packaging Awards Honor ANZ’s Innovative Packaging Solutions

The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has declared that seven Australian and New Zealand businesses have received 11 WorldStar Packaging Awards. The newest round of the WorldStar Packaging Awards received 481 entries from 36 countries, with 234 recognized at the event. “With the tough worldwide competition growing every year, receiving a desired WorldStar Packaging Award is getting harder,” expressed Nerida Kelton, executive director of the AIP. “The AIP is tremendously proud that seven ANZ PIDA Winners have been internationally recognized with 11 awards across six groups comprising Packaging Materials & Components, Food, Fresh Fruit & Vegetables, Other, Household, Labelling & Decoration.”

As only champions from the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards are entitled to enter the WorldStar Packaging Awards, the continued worldwide recognition of our packaging patterns is a testament to the firm standards and judging procedure of our regional awards program,” said Kelton. “We look forward to celebrating the ANZ winners in person on the 8th of May 2026 at a gala awards event, which will be held inside Interpack, Düsseldorf, Germany.”

To continue advanced packaging development, submissions are now open for the annual Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA) packaging scholarship program, run in partnership with the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP). Three scholarships are accessible for the Australasian region, comprising the Diploma in Packaging Technology, Certificate in Packaging Technology and AIP President Award. The Diploma in Packaging Technology is a Level 5 PIABC qualification, globally recognized as the leading qualification in the packaging sector. The course enables learners to take accountability for packaging processes at any level through the supply chain and can result in higher-level study.

As per Kelton, Diploma in Packaging Technology students come from a diversity of experiences and disciplines, but they all share a wish to widen and deepen their knowledge and consider the packaging sector. The suitable first qualification for those engaged in the packaging sector is the Certificate in Packaging Technology. It presents the industry for those looking to pursue a career in packing. This Level 3 PIABC course offers foundational insight and understanding that adds value to both careers and businesses.
