Polish co-packer FILLSY has announced plans to open a new engineering facility in Å»yrardów, Poland, in collaboration with Swedish packaging technology company Meadow. The facility will assist in the large-scale production of Meadow’s highly recyclable aluminum pre-fill solution, the MEADOW KAPSUL™, and in establishing the European supply chain for sustainable packaging. The new capability will start processes with a yearly output of up to 10 million units, aiming for a capacity of 100 million cans per year by the end of 2027.

The venture, financed by FILLSY, is worth €4 million by 2027, with an additional €10 million allocated for construction line growth and site development by 2030. The statement comes in the awaken of the EU’s acceptance of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) former this year, which presents binding goals for recyclability and material lessening.

The plant will play an important role in fulfilling rising industry demand for supervisory-compliant, customer-friendly, and ecologically responsible packaging solutions.

Located in central Europe, the location provides a planned base for supply chain entry and distribution, with main FMCG players such as Unilever and L’Oréal now recognizing the potential of filling processes in Poland.

“This factory marks an important step for the European packaging sector,” expressed PaweÅ‚ Siwirski, Co-Founder of FILLSY. “By founding this service in the heart of Europe, in a country that is rapidly becoming a hub for FMCG invention, we’re confirming the MEADOW KAPSUL system is available to products across the continent. This speculation suggestively strengthens Europe’s ability to transport sustainable packaging at scale, supportive the consumer goods and cosmetics industries as they familiarize themselves with the new packing and waste guidelines.”

Beyond manufacture, the site will feature a dedicated showroom for the MEADOW KAPSUL, allowing associates and clients to experience the skill firsthand and explore applications across home care, food, and personal care categories.
