MeetingPack Valencia to Highlight Innovative Sustainable Barrier Packaging Solutions

MeetingPack is a well-established biennial international event that has showcased numerous innovations and solutions in barrier packaging. The event primarily focuses on the food industry, where health and safety are central to consumer well-being, beyond aesthetics or colorful packaging. Organized by the Spanish technology centers AIMPLAS and AINIA, MeetingPack brings together industry experts to identify key challenges and develop solutions that promote sustainability in packaging materials and operations.

This event is a suitable platform to have a discussion or grasp new ideas regarding new materials, reusable items, and recycling. The huge audience of material suppliers, packaging manufacturers, food companies, public authorities, and more showcase or attend their piece of knowledge or match their expertise to any other in the relevant row, with the same interest.

The seventh edition of the event is approaching and will be held at the Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe in Valencia. Scheduled for 21 and 22 April 2026, the event will revolve around the theme “Barrier Packaging Solutions.” The focus will be on addressing the growing challenges of the circular economy. In line with this theme, companies, key stakeholders, and specialists from across the packaging value chain will come together to analyze existing barriers and explore emerging opportunities driven by the transition toward more sustainable models.

For two straight days, the event will provide a robust program with round tables, success stories, and valuable presentations. The program will revolve around creativity, circular economic goals, and sustainability. Further, the program is divided into eight interesting sessions, which will be supervised by different leaders. The sales director for Spain and Latam at Moprchem, Antoni Segovia, will be covering the sustainability part regarding flexible barrier packaging

The speakers will be representatives from Quimovil and Leygatech, alongside Pere Becerra (Comexi), who will introduce smooth and effective industrial solutions for barrier coatings implementation. Further, Marta Garcia Blasco will talk about the modernisation of water-related and clean coatings to support the environment altogether.

The event will conclude with a keynote by Santiago Olivares, who will address the opportunities and challenges shaping the transformation of recyclability operations and models. Afternoon sessions will spotlight innovations in rigid barrier packaging and evolving packaging strategies. On the second day, a dedicated debate on innovative materials will feature Mondi, alongside other industry contributors. MeetingPack 2026 will offer a comprehensive exchange of knowledge and forward-looking insights.
