MPS Systems, a Netherlands-based printing press manufacturer specializing in flexographic and hybrid printing presses for labels and flexible packaging, has announced the debut of EF Packaging and the Performance Ecosystem. It is mainly designed to achieve higher efficiency, better quality, and a stronger business base.

It is a new press platform, which brings wider flexible packaging into demand. The debut will be made from September 16-19 at Fira Gran Via.

The EF Packaging will also enable converters to expand into flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, wraparound, and other in-mold labels without affecting the speed and print quality. The system adds more mid-web capabilities, automation, and advanced connectivity through MPSConnect for real-time performance.

Richard Mieema, the global sales director at MPS said

“The EF Packaging is about giving our customers the opportunities to say "yes" to expand their product portfolio and explore more business opportunities in new segments with a press that offers all the benefits of our EF Flagship press enabling the lowest cost per print, at the highest speeds and quickest change-overs that MPS is known for.”

MPS is also set to introduce visitors to the performance Ecosystem, which helps converters map and measure their journey towards sustainability and profitability. It features how various factors, from operator skill, workflow optimization and data insights, can be improved.

The performance manager at MPS, Kelvin Van Den Bunt, also said that the converters often know that they want to improve performance, but the missing part is where to start. He mentioned that the performance ecosystem gives them a structured way to prioritize changes for enhanced results.

Labelexpo 2025 in Europe is also set to host more than 600 exhibitors and over 35,00 visitors from around the world. The major focus is to expand flexible and folding carton converting.
