PRONAL Corrugados in the capital of Nuevo León, a new company that will become part of its paper, cardboard, packaging, and recycling network. This facility consolidates the division as one of the country’s most important integrated paper conglomerates, with presence across the entire value chain, from collecting and recycling fiber to the manufacturing of corrugated board packaging for mass consumption.
It is strategically integrated into the circular economy system of OEM's Paper and Packaging Division, which has an installed production capacity of over 600,000 tonnes of recycled paper and cardboard.
According to Towards Packaging, the Packaging and Containers Manufacturing Market is projected to experience significant growth, with estimates suggesting the market size will increase from USD 1265.66 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 1897.15 billion by 2035, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.6% from 2026 to 2035. It has an annual conversion capacity of 100,000 tonnes of paper, producing approximately 160 to 215 million square meters of corrugated board. The plant is strategically integrated into the circular economy, ensuring a continuous flow of materials and maintaining high product quality.
It manufactures corrugated cardboard boxes for various industries, including food and beverages, cleaning products, appliances, auto parts, and machinery.
The plant, which begins operations this month, is equipped with a BW Paper Systems machine capable of reaching production speeds of up to 350 meters per minute, allowing the plant to handle high-volume orders with consistent quality.
CEO for the Paper and Packaging Division, José Antonio Rodríguez Demeneghi, emphasized that this new company complements the growth of the business unit through the integration between PRONAL’s mill and the new corrugated plant, which will represent the start of a new era.
