SOMIC Packaging celebrated the grand opening of its new North American headquarters near Minneapolis with over 120 guests, live machine demos, and the debut of its 434 SuperFlex system.

SOMIC Packaging Opens New North American Headquarters in Minneapolis

SOMIC Packaging Inc. greeted more than 120 guests across the globe when it organized an Open House at its new North American business headquarters in suburban Minneapolis. The mass was treated to speeches from local and trade officials, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and excursions of the sparkly facility with machine demos.

One of the machineries emphasized was the new 434 SuperFlex. Guests were offered with an initial preview before the upcoming generation device was formally presented days later at PACK Expo Las Vegas.

SOMIC Packaging CEO Peter Fox set the quality for the program by thanking all intricated as part of his initial remarks. He described that when first announced to the company 11 years ago, he had never known of SOMIC. After a trip to Germany and by the time he unlocked the North American secondary in Chicago, he unstated their promise to brilliance is part of its DNA and said why the sun never sets on SOMIC.

“The desire, pride and expertise I saw was concrete; you could feel it. I exposed the SOMIC DNA,” he said. “It starts with a fundamental chase of perfection. There is nothing produced in the world that is 100% perfect, but it is the hunt of perfection that is at the fundamental of our SOMIC DNA.”

After stating his thankfulness for SOMIC’s deep desire for invention and facilities, Fox announced Patrick Bonetsmuller, chairman of SOMIC Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. Bonetsmuller talked about the open new headquarters with all of its natural lighting and expressed it was an impressive day for a celebration. He was followed by comments from James Schollett, president of the German American Chamber of Commerce Minnesota chapter, and Inver Grove Heights Mayor, Brenda Dietrich.

Dr. Gerhard Huber, CEO of The SOMIC Group, said about the company’s promise to processes in the United States and venture in the future. Chief Operating Officer Tim Haase addressed the consumers in the room while offering more data about upcoming plans. Fox then refunded to the podium with final remarks.

“We aim to lead by offering the best and most efficient packaging automation, helping our customers become more competitive. When they succeed, we succeed,” said Fox. “At SOMIC, we proudly say we’re engineered to perform, and now, we’re made in the U.S.”
