Vietnam Sets the Bar High at Global Packaging Event

Around twelve Vietnamese companies grabbed the attention at the London packaging week held at the UK’s largest exhibition center, Excel London, on October 15-16. The Vietnamese pavilion presented a wide range of products, including adhesive labels, flexible wooden pallets, shrinked films, moldable carton, cement, and woven PP packaging. This range of products at London Packaging Week spotlighted Vietnam’s emerging expertise in eco-friendly and sustainable packaging solutions that meet the modern needs of the EU and UK.

The London Packaging Week is one of the UK’s popular trade promotion events, specifically organized for the packaging industry, including sectors such as consumer goods, luxury products, cosmetics, and food and beverages. The comprehensive 2025 edition, currently in its 15th year, has successfully attracted around 5,500 visitors and 200 exhibitors in two days. These kinds of events empower companies, encouraging them to adopt an innovative approach in their respective fields of growth. The Vietnamese products got a chance to shine in this event.

Le Dinh Ba, the trade counselor at the Vietnam trade office in the UK and the national booth organizer, explained that the event focused on providing support to Vietnamese exporters. We help small and medium-sized companies connect with partners, access the UK market more efficiently, and promote their brands. Ba promised that the UK-based Vietnam trade office will consistently support Vietnamese companies in boosting exports, particularly in packaging and other high-growth sectors like footwear, fashion, and food. This will help them powerfully achieve their position in the demanding and yet committed UK market.

The sales director of Greenovation Packaging, Van Duc, said, “The company’s flexible wood pallets are made of fully recycled wood that has been praised for helping alleviate waste and cost while contributing to the greener supply chain. Most potential partners and purchasers were drawn to the 100% recycled products, viewing them as a push towards sustainable production. The event offered a precious opportunity for Vietnamese firms to highlight their eco-friendly, quality packaging to the global markets and the UK.”

The general director of Lotus Packaging, a key UK retailer supplier like Aldi and Tesco, Nguyen Nhu Khue, said, “The company’s involvement helped us address the newest market trends in sustainable packaging and unlocked new business opportunities in the future in Europe and the UK.”
