Henkel has reintroduced the packaging of its famed Pritt stick to enhance the customer experience at the point of sale and at home across Europe. The innovative cardboard blisters are currently available in a refreshing, modern pattern, with new digital crafting and learning content on the prittworld, accessible via QR codes. The enhanced packaging concept aims to simplify navigation and further increase sustainability.
Since their discovery in 1969, Pritt glue sticks have allowed countless children around the world to express their creativity and enhance their motor skills through crafting. The current generation of Pritt sticks features 97% natural ingredients (including water) and up to 65% recycled plastic, without any compromise in performance. It provides a sturdy preliminary tack, easy relocation, and the best making results across the group.
Already in 2022, Henkel launched plastic-free cardboard blister packaging for its Pritt portfolio to emphasize its ambitious packaging aims and to further improve the recyclability of goods in line with a circular economy, as the first producer worldwide in the group of customer adhesives.
With the current relaunch, the company aims to further enhance and streamline this sustainable packaging idea to fortify customer trust and experience. The new cardboard blisters feature a window at the front of the pack, allowing consumers to observe and touch the goods. In addition, the new packing includes real-size pack shots, projected color coding, and a navigation bubble to shorten the extent of navigation and decision-making for customers. The new packs are manufactured from FSC-certified materials, and the back-of-pack printing is in black and white to further reduce the environmental impact.
“For more than 50 years, Pritt has been identified as a pioneer for sustainable invention with a robust focus on the requirements and prospects of children and their parents as the brand´s core,” said Baptiste Chieze, Director Marketing, Digital & E-Commerce für customer adhesives at Henkel Adhesive Technologies. “With the new packing concept, we focus on further fortifying the Pritt placement in the world of the 21st century by continuously enhancing the customer experience. This is based on three main pillars: a relaxed and modern look, touch and feel at the point of sale and at home, new digital fillings personalized for the main focused groups, and constant sustainability enhancements for decreasing the ecological influence of the products.”
