Amtech, a top-most offeror of AI-powered software options for the corrugated sector, declared the introduction of a new suite geared toward hand work, which has potential that supports box and sheet plants in centrally managing hand assembly, gathered products, contract packaging, and value-add fulfilment facilities.
As containerboard and sheet charges continue to grow, corrugated producers are facing increasing margin pressure. Meanwhile, consumers are looking for wider packaging options, from kits and displays to pack-out, fulfilment, and contract packaging facilities. These value-add contributions generate chances for corrugated businesses to protect margins, reinforce consumer relationships, and expand profits with less experience in wide and sheet charge expansions.
This new suite offers producers two levels of capacity for managing varied products and facilities. The first stage – EnCore Assembled Products – confirms assembled goods such as displays, kits, sets, and other hand-gathering workflows. The second level – EnCore Contract Packaging – spreads these competences for more composite contract packaging, pack-out, and co-engineering functions comprising customer-supplied resources, element tracking, line reconciliation, modification visibility, and audit support.
The suite also comprises new hand-gathering scheduling abilities in Amtechs Advanced Planning Board, allowing schedulers to operate converting and hand assembly control together. This gives teams enhanced visibility into crew sizing, capacity, person-hour necessities, and the relationship between adapting production and downstream association or fulfilment.
By transporting these systems into EnCore and the Advanced Planning Board, Amtech supports corrugated producers in reducing the time, cost, and complexity of siloed databases, homegrown spreadsheets, and point solutions primarily built for 3PLs. Plants can handle complex product designs, elements, hand assembly lines, manufacturer reporting, inventory action, and scheduling from a combined functioning platform.
This new suite aimed at handwork is part of Amtechs maintained investment in helping corrugated manufacturers catch new revenue opportunities through expanded products and facilities.
"Amtech acted directly with the production to offer a solution that shortens the planning, scheduling, implementation, and tracking of assembled items and contract packaging," expressed Danna Nelson, SVP of Products at Amtech. "With these new facilities, we are allowing our customers to reinforce their functions while extending the commercial deliverables they can bring to industry."
Amtech developed AI-powered software solutions, which include cloud-based CRM, ERP, and MES platforms. It is developed to modernize the current packaging and label industry. This development has influenced the automation workflow, advanced tracking technology, and machine learning facilities associated with the packaging and labelling sector. It is widely accepted due to its potential to reduce waste generation in the packaging sector. It deepens the manufacturing execution system and enterprise resource planning. The company has heavily invested in AI manufacturing technology, which has ensured the addition of ease in its operations and enhanced accuracy.
The corrugated packaging market is forecasted to expand from USD 322.56 billion in 2026 to USD 463.09 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 4.1% from 2026 to 2035.
These are highly versatile and rigid packaging that ensures the safety of the packaged products. The rising inclination towards eco-friendly packaging has fuelled the expansion of this packaging industry. It is formed with three layers in it where one layer is sandwiched between two layers that help enhance its cushion effect. The major elements used in this packaging are linerboard, fluting, and adhesives. The main benefit behind the usage of this packaging is these are cost-effective and lightweight packaging option. The increasing e-commerce sector has fuelled the utilization of this type of packaging for the safe transportation of products without causing any damage.
The eco-friendly packaging market is forecasted to expand from USD 277.32 billion in 2026 to USD 536.16 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 7.6% from 2026 to 2035.
The rising awareness about ecological issues due to increasing government initiatives has fuelled the demand for this sector. The increasing focus on sustainability, recyclability, and biodegradability has pushed the industry to innovate in the materials used for manufacturing. The usage of non-toxic materials makes it safe to decompose and causes no harm to the land. The rising recyclable infrastructure has made it easy to recycle packaging, which influences this market to develop such mono-material packaging that can be recycled multiple times without hampering the quality of the packaging.
