C4C Packaging has announced the official launch of Western Australia’s first aseptic beverage co-producing and packaging service, designed to bring an innovative upgrade to the region’s traditional packaging scene. Unveiled at the historic Nikola Estate in Swan Valley, the new facility aims to transform both export and local markets for wine and ready-to-drink (RTD) manufacturers seeking preservative-free, flexible, and sustainable packaging. This pioneering effort, the first of its kind in Western Australia, is powered by advanced Tetra Pak carton technology and is scheduled for full commercial operation by early 2026.
Located at a site famous for nearly two centuries of winemaking, the heritage of fixing mixtures merges with a state-of-the-art packaging infrastructure. Hamoun Aria, Managing Director of C4C Packaging, stated that, “Our aim is to fully redefine beverage packing in Australia in much the same way that skill has transformed other industries. In its place of fossil fuel-heavy glass, we’re focusing on lightweight, low-impact packaging that doesn’t compromise product quality or experience.”
At the core of the facility’s innovation is its use of single-serve, portion-controlled Tetra Pak cartons made from renewable, FSC-certified plant-based resources. These formats significantly reduce carbon emissions, up to 17 times lighter than glass, and offer up to 12 times less environmental impact over their lifecycle. The aseptic process ensures that wine and RTD products maintain optimal flavor quality and shelf stability, eliminating the need for artificial or refrigeration preservatives. This makes C4C an attractive partner for well-known beverage brands focused on market expansion and for developing markets eager to leverage export opportunities where glass is costly or impractical due to logistics or sustainability considerations.
For the wider packaging sector, the C4C service showcases next-generation agreement packaging, including advanced filling and sealing lines. It supports portion-controlled and convenience-focused formats and aligns with the main global beverage supply chain needs. This initiative positions Western Australia not just as a regional leader but as a new hub for sustainable beverage production and export. Hamoun Aria also mentioned that the industry is already attracting interest from both domestic manufacturers and international suppliers, indicating strong demand for modern, environmentally conscious packaging solutions.
