Dow announced its innovation, INNATE™ TF 220, marking a milestone in high-density polyethylene that supports high-performance and recyclability of BOPE films, which helps in flexible packaging solutions. The company is collaborating with stakeholders across the packaging industry to create a positive impact on sustainable challenges.
Bambang Candra, the vice president, APAC, Dow Packaging, said, "Asia Pacific is where material science meets circular ambition. Through breakthrough innovations like INNATE™â¯TF 220 resin redefiningâ¯theâ¯designed for recyclable packaging performance and strategic partnerships across the value chain, we are accelerating the shift toward packaging circularity."
He further added that "This is sustainability in action,â¯helping enableâ¯brands to balance performance benefits while scaling mono-material solutions and post-consumer recycled adoption. It's how Dow turns vision into measurable progress, advancing both our partners' goals and the circular economy."
The company collaborated with a leading laundry detergent brand, ‘Liby’, where they facilitated the integration of 10% REVOLOOP PCR Resin in its new packaging series. The new packaging improves the durability of the detergent pack, which will help in reducing carbon emissions.
The manager of the Liby Research and Development Centre, Zhang Liping, also mentioned that the company is committed to reconsidering plastic packaging. HE also believes that the partnership has been marching towards innovations like the first recyclable laundry packaging in China.
INNATE™ TF 220 Resin features a distinct molecular architecture, which helps in reducing the manufacturing waste and also improves the end-use performance. Additionally, it has managed to improve the heat resistance that covers various tasks like printing, lamination, and other manufacturing tasks.
TF-BOPE films have already been versatile in many applications like food and beverages, personal care packaging, and many more, where they have also helped to improve the functionality and aesthetics, without hampering the sustainability.
